Tales From The Hollow

Where the darkness gathers around the campfire…

Gothic horror stories set in the shadows of Wawaset County, Ohio.
Some standalone. Some connected. All of them waiting for you in the dark.

What Is Tales From The Hollow?

Tales From The Hollow is a gothic horror audio series set in the Willow’s Bend universe — the same dark corner of rural Ohio that inspired the novels.

Season 1 features ten standalone stories, each following a different soul drawn to Ironwood Retreat, where the darkness finds what people carry inside themselves and uses it against them.

Season 2 — The Darker Season — is a serialized narrative. One unfolding threat. Twelve chapters. Something ancient is building a map, and it has been coming since 1977.

Available on YouTube and every major podcast platform. Best experienced alone. At night. With the lights off.

Season 1: Tales From The Hollow

Ten standalone horror stories. Ten souls drawn to Ironwood Retreat.
Ten reckonings with the darkness that feeds on what we carry inside.
Each story stands alone — start anywhere.

Episode 1: The Last Guest

Marcus Webb came to Ironwood Retreat to escape his guilt. When his dead wife’s voice calls to him from outside his window, he discovers some secrets refuse to stay buried.

Episode 2: Thicker Than Water

A single mother takes a construction job at Ironwood Retreat to keep her family afloat. But the creature lurking in the stagnant pool has her estranged sister’s voice — and it feeds on broken families.

Episode 3: The Passenger

A taxi driver and a grieving mother arrive at Ironwood Retreat carrying guilt they can’t outrun. Something in every reflection has been waiting for both of them.

Episode 4: The Yuletide

Two estranged sisters return to rural Ohio to scatter their mother’s ashes — and a blizzard traps them with the secrets they’ve buried for decades. The ancient entity that feeds on family lies won’t let them leave until the truth comes out.

Episode 5: The Crossing

Ray Butler has been running from a conversation for four years. The Toll Keeper blocking every bridge out of Ironwood Retreat wears his old uniform and speaks with his son’s voice — and it demands payment in words, not money.

Episode 6: The Mercy Ward

Former ER nurse Carla Simmons thought she could escape her guilt at Ironwood Retreat. Three figures in hospital gowns know exactly what happened during that code in August — and The Flatline won’t let her run anymore.

Episode 7: Zombie Siege

Sixteen-year-old Michael thought the supernatural was behind him after the haunting at his family’s farm. Trapped inside Unit 3 at Ironwood Retreat as the dead rise and walk the compound, he discovers some destinies can’t be escaped.

Episode 8: The Mills Debt

Bank foreclosure specialist Aaron Bledsoe sees opportunity in an abandoned mill with no records since 1952. When the siren sounds at 8:47 PM, the Lienholders arrive — and they know every debt he’s ever collected, including the one he refuses to pay.

Episode 9: The Long Way Round

A stranded trucker and a county records clerk both end up at Ironwood Retreat on the same sweltering July weekend. The hollow doesn’t break the wards — it finds what people carry inside themselves and walks right through.

Episode 10: The Last Horseshoe

Keith Barnett survived Ironwood Retreat once, six years ago. Now the mirrors are wrong again and his cab feels occupied when it’s empty — some doors don’t close the first time.

Season 2: The Darker Season

This is not a standalone series. The Darker Season is one continuous story told in chapters.

Something ancient is building a map in Wawaset County. Herald McKinnon sees it. Frank Harmon feels it. Michael Anderson doesn’t know yet that he’s at the center of it.

Start at Chapter 1. Follow along. Don’t skip ahead.

Chapter 1: The Hollow at Night

Something is getting stronger in Wawaset County. When the thing in Deadman’s Hollow starts speaking about Ironwood Retreat, Herald McKinnon realizes the calculation has changed — and Frank Harmon finally writes the letter he should have sent three years ago.

Chapter 2: The Factory

Michael Anderson is twenty years old, living a normal life and pushing the things he doesn’t examine back where they belong. The dreams that went quiet for two years have started again — and something at the end of the drive has never been in this dream before.

Chapter 3: Herald's Territory

Herald McKinnon’s routine rounds reveal something deeply wrong — forty-three acres of unowned bottom land, quiet for forty-one years, quiet no more. When Herald and Roy Chandler compare notes, the pattern becomes unmistakable: something ancient is building a map, and Michael Anderson is at the center of it.
